About Laura

Laura is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and a Master Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor. A Summa Cum Laude graduate of Niagara University's CACREP accredited Clinical Mental Health Counseling program, she has nearly a decade of experience in the treatment of co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. Laura has held clinical and administrative positions at a residential substance use stabilization program, and currently works on the Monument platform, as well as in Corrections, providing care to incarcerated persons with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. Additionally, Laura is an adjunct instructor in her county's Corrections Law Enforcement Academy, educating Law Enforcement Officers on Mental Health, Addiction and Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT). Laura is a lover of neuropsychology, and is deeply passionate about using psychoeducation to help people better understand the relationship between their behaviors, emotions, cognitions and brain function.
